Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager, Account Development to lead our team of Account Development Representatives (ADRs). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the account development team, driving the success of outbound lead generation efforts, and ensuring that your team effectively nurtures and qualifies leads for the sales pipeline. Your leadership will be crucial in optimizing team performance, developing strategies for prospecting, and contributing to the overall growth of the company. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Account Development Representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to develop and implement effective outbound lead generation strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, including call volume, lead qualification rates, and conversion rates. Provide regular feedback and coaching to drive continuous improvement.
  • Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in lead generation processes and workflows, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, pipeline status, and lead generation outcomes to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on target accounts, messaging, and overall strategy.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new Account Development Representatives, ensuring they are equipped to succeed in their roles.
  • Training & Development: Design and deliver ongoing training programs for the ADR team, focusing on sales techniques, product knowledge, and industry best practices.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to help refine the account development strategy.
  • CRM Management: Ensure that all lead and account activity is accurately recorded and maintained in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce). 

Skills and Experience

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales, account development, or lead generation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in a SaaS or technology company.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of sales processes, outbound lead generation, and pipeline management.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales or account development team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize team performance.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales enablement tools; familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. 

Preferred Skills

  • 3+ Years of Saas BDR/SDR leadership experience

The salary range for this position is $89,000 - $151,000. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. In addition to the compensation listed, this position is eligible for equity compensation.
