Key Responsibilities

  • Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
  • Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
  • Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
  • Maintain code and write unit tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Profile and optimize mobile app performance using React Native performance tools (e.g., Flipper, React DevTools, Xcode Instruments, Android Profiler).
  • Implement lazy loading, code-splitting, and other optimization strategies to reduce app bundle size and improve load times.
  • Address performance issues related to memory leaks, unnecessary re-renders, and large asset handling.
  • Optimize build configurations, deployment, and debugging processes for both iOS (Xcode) and Android (Gradle) environments.
  • Handle platform-specific differences in navigation, status bars, permissions, and gestures using libraries like React Native Gesture Handler and React Native Reanimated.
  • Implement custom UI components using React Native Paper, NativeBase, or Custom Components with attention to detail in animations and interactions.
  • Continuously research and evaluate new libraries, tools, and best practices within the React Native ecosystem (e.g., React Navigation v6, React Query, Recoil).
  • Ensure high code quality through unit testing (using Jest or Mocha), integration testing, and end-to-end testing (using Detox or Appium).

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or relevant fields
  • Experience in Javascript (ReactJS / Redux) React Native, HTML, CSS, JQuery, HTTP
  • Strong understating of XML, JSON, DOM, and w3c standards
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • React UI experience
  • Experience building Complex UI components
  • Experience handling large data sets in U
  • Attitude for getting things done
  • Understanding of basic Rest Principles
  • Familiar with project management tools like JIRA etc.
