Experience within a SaaS organization providing complex business solutions along with strong leadership and ability to coach and develop sales account managers.

 

Job Description

The Director, Solutions has business and technical acumen and is experienced in transforming customer requirements into solutions that differentiate Tekion from its competitors. They will drive key global strategies and initiatives that are foundational across Tekion’s solution areas, such as overall Solution Sales strategy, planning, landing and change management, sales role definition, incentives and compensation, digital sales and partner strategy, segment, and industry GTM strategy. The team also forms the interface between the global field-based solution leaders and Tekion functions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and grow group of professionals on the Solutions team  
  • Participates in pre-sales activities and assists the sales team in planning and driving new business by identifying and qualifying opportunities through customer meetings, capabilities presentations and evaluation of customer requirements for a fit with capabilities 
  • Leads creation of review materials as stipulated by the pursuit process 
  • Provides mentoring and training to others within the Solution Services organization 
  • Leads customer discovery workshops to understand business issues/objectives, projects and problem statements of customers/prospects 
  • Stays current on technology changes in the market, competitive analysis and understanding differentiators between Tekion and its competitors 
  • Build meaningful, trusted relationships with dealer principals, department heads, and management 
  • Identify and qualify prospective dealer partners 
  • Utilize your technology and industry expertise to understand unique dealer needs and identify ways that Tekion can enhance their business performance 
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to sell Tekion’s suite of products and ensure customer adoption, success and rapid value achievement 
  • Meet and exceed sales goals 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  •  8+ years experience in Sales Management/Director role 
  • Proven track record leading sales teams   
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry and sales cycles 
  • Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce
  • Willing to travel (fly) 50-75%

The salary range for this position is $123,000 to  $230,000.  The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a (bonus or commission) whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.  In addition to the compensation listed, this position is eligible for equity compensation.
